How the Referral Program Works
The Colella Property Referral Program is designed to reward you for connecting us with individuals looking to sell their property or landlords seeking property management services. Submit a referral now or read on to learn more about how it works:
Submit a Referral
Fill out our simple online form with your details and information about the person you're referring who is considering selling their property or seeking property management. You can also directly introduce them to our team or have them mention your name when they contact us.
We Make Contact
Our team will reach out to the person you've referred to introduce ourselves and discuss how we can help with their property sale or management needs. You'll receive a confirmation when we receive your referral.
Property Gets Listed or Managed
If your referral decides to list their property with Colella Property or engage us for property management, we'll handle everything from there to ensure a smooth experience. We'll keep you updated throughout the process.
You Earn Your Reward
Once the property is sold or the management agreement begins, you'll receive your reward. That's $500 for a successful property sale and $200 per property for a 12-month management agreement. Rewards are paid within 14 days of settlement or lease commencement.
Who Can Participate?
Any individual or local business that trusts and supports Colella Property can participate as a Referral Partner, including:
- Past clients who have bought, sold, or leased a property through us
- Friends, family, and community members
- Local businesses such as cafes, restaurants, mortgage brokers, and other complementary businesses
Where We Operate
As a local Melbourne agency, we have specific service areas:
- Our primary service area is metropolitan Melbourne, with particular expertise in the Bayside area
- All referrals are subject to a location suitability assessment to determine if we can effectively service the property
- If we determine we cannot service a property due to its location, we may (with permission) refer the lead to a trusted agent partner, though referrer rewards only apply to properties Colella Property lists or manages directly
- If we do accept the referral and successfully list, sell, or manage the property, you'll receive your full reward regardless of the property's location
Who Can Be Referred?
The referred person (Referee) must:
- Be a homeowner looking to sell their residential property, OR
- Be a landlord looking to engage Colella Property for property management
- Not already be in contact with Colella Property regarding selling or leasing their property
- Engage in a listing or management agreement with Colella Property within 3 months of the referral
Frequently Asked Questions
When do I get paid?
You will receive your reward within 14 days of property settlement (for sales) or lease commencement (for management).
How will I be paid?
All rewards are issued as gift cards.
Can I refer multiple people?
Absolutely! There is no limit to the number of people you can refer. Each successful referral that results in a sale ($500) or management agreement ($200 per property) earns you a separate reward.
What if the property is outside your service area?
We primarily operate in metropolitan Melbourne with a focus on the Bayside area. If the property is outside our service area, we'll assess whether we can effectively list or manage it. If we accept the referral and successfully sell or manage the property, you'll receive your full reward. If we can't service the property, we may refer it to a trusted partner agent with your permission, but rewards are only paid for properties we list or manage directly.
What if someone else has already referred the same person?
Only the first referral for a particular individual/property is eligible for the reward. This is determined based on the timestamp of submission in our system.
Do I need to be involved after making the referral?
No. Once you've submitted the referral form, our team takes over. We'll keep you updated on the progress, but you don't need to be actively involved in the process.
What types of properties are eligible?
The program applies only to residential sales and property management (not commercial properties or one-off rental listings).
Is there any cost to participate?
No, participation in the referral program is completely free.
How is my information handled?
We take your privacy seriously. All information collected through the Program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
